It features five pocket beaches of white pebbles, two mangrove lagoons on the southest side, and a lighthouse. Presidential Proclamation No. 438 and Ra 7586 established the Apo Island Protected Landscape and Seascape, comprising 691.45 hectares (72 terrestrial, the remaining is the marine area surrounding the island)
The Internationally-renowned dive site has 63.1% average total coral cover and magnificent variety of corals and marine life. Coconut point is referred to as the best dive site in southern Visayas. Acclaimed as the most popular is “Clown-fish City” where the colorful Amphiprion melanopus inhabit anemones that have colonized seven big coral heads.
